I'm taking CS323 (Operating Systems) this semester. The class, much like the last time I took it, is unbelievably boring. The disappointing thing about this is that Operating Systems can actually be very interesting. For some reason, only the most incompetent and careless of professors are ever recruited to teach the courses, leaving the TAs to do an insane amount of work for which they are unqualified.
Right now, I'm implementing my own file system for NachOS, the teaching OS chosen for this course. The previous MPs were simple enough to implement in a few hours, but this one should take a while longer. Ok, enough procrastinating.
