Kitchen, day 1: hijacked, hijinks!
May 31, 2005
Since Matt doesn't seem to be using this journal at the moment (*wink*wink*) I thought I'd hijack it for a bit. We're renovating our kitchen this summer. Yesterday I bought paint; today I started by painting the ceiling. Erin helped too. It only took a couple hours and about a half gallon of Behr's "Pot of Cream" flat paint. The main result so far is that the walls look absolutely horrible next to that nice clean coat. However I did manage to get all the excess paint on my body rather than our stove, refrigerator, and dishes.
A few photos of this first stage (I forgot to take "before" pics and, by the nature of "before" pics, it's now too late):
Unfortunately these photos neither do justice to how nice the ceiling looks now nor how bad, in comparison, the dirty walls look. Hopefully future pics will help. A few more in the new gallery directory. Stay tuned!
