The marketing geniuses at McDonald's Corporation have produced a new advertising scheme sure to increase sales. Recently, I received a book of 2-for-1 coupons in the mail for all sorts of tasty McDonald's food products. Get one breakfast sandwich when you buy one. Or an extra Big Mac when you buy one. Now, normally I don't eat at Mickey D's, but there's one in our student union, so maybe with these value-adding coupons, I'll stop in there some time. Except the coupons are only valid in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Vermont! I've never even been to those states. What is the point in sending a coupon only valid in those states to Illinois? I'm always looking for a good deal, but I'm not driving to the east coast for a free lunch.
